The Edges of Order

Switzerland often reveals itself through small acts of organisation: a boundary marked, a route directed, land divided, movement channelled.

These photographs look at the ways order becomes visible in everyday space. The subjects move between cultivated land, public infrastructure, buildings and territorial edges. Some systems announce themselves through signs and markings; others are built more quietly into fences, paths, facades and repeated forms.

I am interested less in order as a national characteristic than in the traces it leaves on the places around me: the point where a landscape becomes managed, a route becomes prescribed, or an ordinary surface begins to organise how it can be used.

This series was exhibited in November 2026 in Murten at November_de_2026 – Pellegrini Fotografie
